Visit from me mum
My mom came to visit it me for the weekend from Vancouver. She's only been out here once and we didn't get out of the city then. So this time we rented a car and drove down to Niagra Falls. She's always wanted to go but hadn't yet.

It was a little chilly but not too busy. I'd never been behind the falls so we decided to do that. It's cool to think that they've been going behind the falls for more than 100 years. But it's pretty touristy now, but still very impressive with the amount of water going over it. With the hydro electric damn they've reduced the erosion rate from 10m per year to 1m in 10 years.

Niagra Falls also has some very pretty gardens. It was nice to catch the blossoms, we missed them in High Park.

The weekend was one of decadence in food. We went to the Peller winery for lunch, a very very nice 3 course meal with wine pairings. On sunday morning we went to brunch at the King Edward hotel. It's a very classy hotel and the brunch was spectacular, every bit of food was very very good. Including fresh oysters! Here's us at the end of it, we had to roll home after 3 hours of eating.

After the King Edward we went to Scarborough Bluffs, a large limestone cliff formation just east of Toronto on the lake.
One the last day she was here we took a nice long walk around High Park. we missed the blossoms but it was still a beautiful day.
