Fall Leaves
Had a great weekend, we went to a wedding of Kim's friend from Skule. We rented a car..a fun little Hyundia Accent (it could actually corner and was good on gas!) and drove to Cambridge, just outside Waterloo. The wedding was good, we didn't no anybody there but the reception table was quite fun. The food was great, she's armenian and there was some excellent appetizers...and lots of humus. They're out in Victoria right now, so the next time we're in Vancouver we'll try and hook up with them. You don't really get much chance to talk to the bride and groom at their wedding.
On sunday we dropped by Rattlesnake Park on the way home. It's on top of the escarpment, a really cool land formation...it's the shoreline of a prehistoric inland sea that covered most of North America...it's also what the Niagara Falls go over, although much farther around the lake.
The trees were absolutely magnificent, the falling yellow leaves gave it a magical feeling. And excellent way to spend a day outside the city. I've never really seen the splendor of the fall leaves in ontario, we've always been either too late or too early...but it truly is amazing.
